Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation - The Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation recently conducted a four day advanced training symposium on the island of Aruba. Mr. Richard Vrolijk, E Dan - owner and Kyo Sa Nim of Aruba Tang Soo Do hosted Kwan Jang Nim John St. James, the President and Founding Master of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation. In addition to Kwan Jang Nim St. James, Senior Master Antonio Rivera, Jr., Oh Dan of Meriden Academy of Karate in Meriden, Connecticut also attended and assisted Kwan Jang Nim with the four day training event.

A Shim Sa was held on Monday and Tuesday, October 8th and 9th for Cho and E Dan candidates. In addition to dan testing, a clinic was conducted on Wednesday, October 10th, covering Bong (staff) mechanics A thru Z and basic whip staff. Instructors and students from Aruba Tang Soo Do were also treated to advanced Ho Sin Sul training with Senior Master Rivera.

While in Aruba, Kwan Jang Nim St. James, Senior Master Rivera, and Mr. Vrolijk, were special guests on local NBC TV affiliate station 15 and interviewed by newscaster Claret Lopez for the program "Time Out". During the interview, TV viewers were able to see some of the curriculum being taught by Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do instructors while on the island.
