Master Cliff Ott started his training in Korean martial arts in 1978 as a student of Tae Kwon Do under the tutelage of Jack Lacoco and Roy Montalbano.
Shortly thereafter, he opened his first dojang in McComb, Ms. Within a year, he opened a second studio in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Master Ott started training in Tang Soo Do in 1981 as a student of Grand Master Myoung Kuk Park of Marrero, La.
In 1983, he was promoted to E Dan. Master Ott earned his Sam Dan (3rd Degree) as a member of the World Tang Soo Do Association in 1987.
Master Ott was with the WTSDA for sometime and then moved to Pensacola, Florida to go to college.
In 1993, Master Ott moved to Jackson, Mississippi and started training with Grand Master J.R. West and the United States Korean Martial Arts Federation.
In 1996, he was promoted to Sah Dan (4th Degree) by Grandmaster West.
Master Ott currently holds a 4th Dan in Tae Kwon Do and and E Dan in Hapkido as well as a Sah Dan (4th Degree) in the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation.
